We offer exhibitions of young upcoming and established artists on a regular basis. The objectives of the gallery’s programme of dynamic solo exhibitions and landmark group shows are to define key moments in the development of contemporary art in South Africa and Pretoria in particular, to reflect the influence of the global world on South African art, and to cover an array of cultural activities and media.

 

The gallery is guided by the conviction that contemporary art is a vital social force that extends beyond the art world into the broader culture. Our intention is to engage diverse audiences ranging from arts professionals to those less familiar with contemporary art. The criteria of quality, relevance and concept are sustained in art exhibitions and promotions, and an educational function is maintained by way of walkabouts, short courses and workshops in art-related aspects. We also offer art tours to art museums and galleries in Pretoria, Johannesburg and surrounding areas, conducted by specialist gallery personnel.

 

We facilitate sound art investment as well as source and commission artworks for clients. Through exhibitions as well as through the gallery's website we provide and build an information database for use by art scholars, collectors and the public.
