Adèle Oldfield was born on the 5^th January 1982 in Zeerust, South Africa. She began studying Fine Arts at the University of Pretoria in the year 2000 and graduated in 2004 with BA (Fine Arts). After completion of her degree Adèle taught Grade 9-12 art at Lyttelton Manor High School in Centurion for two years (2004 and 2005), whilst completing her Masters in Fine Arts. She has also presented a lecture to the fourth years at the University of Pretoria dealing with the sourcing of and searching for information for research papers. Eye of the Beholder is Adèle’s Masters exhibition and first solo exhibition.
