In From above and beyond, notions of perspective and viewpoint are
explored in themes of space and place.
Whether looking at the world, an object or a person, perception and stance
remain key ingredients in the reproduction thereof. Elements
of representation, construct, inspection and imagination invade the picture.
Similarly, relationships between the artificial and the real; memory and
illusion; grids and models; are explored. At the same time, in the global
world, our conceptions of space and time are constantly transformed and
imbued with changing ideas about space and place, evidently leading to
continually shifting depictions of who, what and where we are.
