fried contemporary EXHIBITION

Nathani Lüneburg, Altered World

12 - 26 August 2006

An exhibition of video art including installations and digital prints by an award-winning artist

Through video as art medium, Altered World explores the schizophrenic-related elements present in contemporary society.  Her body of work consists of body -performances documented through the process of stop-frame animation. The essence of this exhibition is entrenched in her encounters with this medical phenomenon. In her videos, she uses her own body as the schizophrenic object and incorporates it with child-like drawings to suggest the notion of loss and alienation in the postmodern society. Distorted realities, bodies, identities and memories are the schizophrenic-related elements emphasized in this exhibition.
